Frame Off Restored Numbers Matching GS Convertible 350 V8 M21 4 Speed PS A/C
While Chevelles and GTOs get a lot of attention, they certainly aren't the only game in town. Their tri-shield-branded cousins have more cubes and more exclusivity, lending them a lasting appeal that resonates in today's collector-driven market. This award-winning GS, awakened from 12 years of storage in early 2011, is a great example of why ALL GM muscle cars are so incredible!
Born with stellar looks, this Buick's head-turning aesthetics come courtesy of a complete, frame-off restoration that was performed by the car's current owner. That ground-up reboot saw solid sheetmetal covered in a rich coat of Regal Black 2-stage, which is capped with an equally monochromatic roof. And naturally, that sinister profile has been detaileded with show-quality chrome, new glass and fresh stainless trim.
Power is provided by a 350 cubic inch Buick V8 that's been rebuilt to factory specifications. The whole assembly is covered in bright red paint and seated between correct, satin fenders. And everything, from the car's unique air cleaner to its dent-free oil pan, presents with prestige and authenticity.
That storied mill fronts a tough Muncie 4-speed, which spins a factory 10-bolt. The car's original double A-arm front and 4-link rear suspension, which has been completely rebuilt to factory specifications, features correct power steering and a correct rear sway bar. And at the corners, 15-inch Rallys twist 225/70R15 BF Goodrich Silvertown Radial redlines around correct, power-assisted brakes.
Inside the car, you'll find more great Buick styling wrapped in a mixture of black vinyl, bright stainless and rich wood grain applique. A luxurious duo of bench seats sport fresh covers that, judging by appearance, haven't seen any road time. That upscale aura continues onto the dashboard, which offers rebuilt factory gauges and a traditional AM/FM radio. And in front of the driver, a satin-spoke steering wheel laps a red-trimmed Buick script.
The market for authentic, investment grade Buicks is incredibly strong, as evidenced by how quickly this GS sold. Congratulations to the car's lucky owner for snagging an impressive A-Body before its pictures even hit our website. If you're searching for some world class muscle from one of GM's finer divisions, stay tuned. There's always something good around the corner!
