----------

We've featured some amazing Camaro pro-tourers over the past few months, and this LS1 powered F1 Super Sport is the latest in a long line of metal that seems to come in, spend one weekend being universally admired and disappear to a new home. By definition, these cars are virtually irresistible because pro-touring is all about combining modern performance with vintage style. And who doesn't love a classic that mixes the best attributes of old school Detroit muscle with the killer performance of new age Detroit muscle? As a professionally built custom that delivers on every level, this cool coupe is the kind of car you simply CAN'T ignore. It cruises like a new Impala, sprints like a modern Corvette and oozes the style and class that made first generation F-Bodies the stuff of legend. If you're looking for an ultimate, take-no-prisoners muscle car that's every bit as impressive on the road as it is on the show field, this awesome Camaro is your ticket!

BODYWORK/TRIM

Recently built into a lean, mean pro-touring machine, this awesome Chevy wears a ground-up restoration that features a number of thoughtful upgrades. The car's transformation started with a full, factory-built frame and solid '69 Camaro body that had never seen significant rust or damage. After some high quality metalwork was performed, every one of that body's panels were aligned to better-than-factory fit. With those well-done panels as close to perfect as possible, a smooth coat of red base was sealed in a thick layer of clear and buffed to an immaculate shine. And the result is one eye-catching classic that's sure to make any gearhead happy!

When it comes to purity of form, It's hard to think of a better looking car than Chevy's '69 Camaro. And this awesome pro-tourer features a host of subtle upgrades which feel so natural they could've rolled right out of GM's Norwood manufacturing facility. At the front of the car, a black, stainless-trimmed grille hangs a traditional “SS” emblem between a show quality bumper, snazzy Marquez Design headlights, modern parking lamps and a traditional D80 chin spoiler. Above that grille, a familiar ZL2 cowl induction hood anchors custom cross-flag emblems between a correct Camaro header and tinted glass that's framed by matte wipers and dent-free stainless. Below that glass, stainless rocker spears and traditional door handles combine with fresh “Camaro” scripts, small mirrors and bright quarter louvers to add just the right amount of detail to the car's glossy profile. And at the back of that profile, a D80 decklid spoiler rides above a second “SS” emblem, a second show quality bumper and '69 Camaro-exclusive taillights.

ENGINE

If you think the exterior of this classic is impressive, you're going to LOVE what's under its hood! Cranking out a smooth 400 horsepower, this Camaro's lightweight, high performance LS1 is widely regarded as one of the best small blocks ever produced. Straight from GM, it combines a sturdy aluminum block with lightweight aluminum heads, coil-near-plug ignition and aluminum flat top pistons to create razor-sharp throttle response and lightning quick acceleration. At the front of the mill, a modern serpentine system, complete with an assortment of polished hardware, spins a rebuilt alternator and fresh AC compressor behind a factory air tube. Once air enters that tube, it flows through a factory throttle body in to a factory-spec intake, which is bolted down over completely stock internals. High-octane fossils are provided by GM electronic fuel injection. Sparks are sequenced through high performance Taylor plug wires. Spent gases exit through a slick pair of ceramic-coated shorty headers. And cooling comes courtesy of a heavy duty Be Cool radiator that's fitted with two large puller fans. Visually, not a detail was missed under this Camaro's Satin Black bonnet. Niceties such as braided hoses, coated hood hardware, a polished oil cap and trick dipsticks provide just the right amount of flash to give the engine a clean, finished look. And the vicious small block fires right up, idles perfectly and accelerates like a modern sports car!

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

At the bottom of this awesome pro-tourer, a Gforce Performance crossmember props a slick shifting Tremec 6-speed in front of a custom Ford 9-inch. That top-notch drivetrain rides between boxed frame rails, which roll on tubular Detroit Speed control arms, Koni Classic shocks, a heavy duty sway bar and welded subframe connectors. Turns come courtesy of modern power steering, which lends a classic car feel to the drivetrain's modern car athleticism. Stops are provided by beefy Baer front calipers, power-assisted rear calipers and four drilled and slotted rotors. And exhaust flows through dual stainless pipes, which thunder thanks to an X-shaped crossover and polished Magnaflow mufflers. The car's solid floorpans have been restored in a clean combination of Satin Black paint and Satin Black undercoating. All the right details, like a stainless fuel tank, stainless hardware and stainless fluid lines, provide solid reliability. And, at the corners, 18-inch Budnik wheels spin 245/40 BF Goodrich g-Force T/As in front of 275/40 BF Goodrich g-Force T/As.

INTERIOR

Open this Camaro's solid doors and you'll find a fully restored Black Houndstooth interior that's one of the most impressive cockpits to ever roll out of a GM design studio. Fourth generation Camaro buckets, and a correct first gen Camaro bench, feature tight leather trim and feel as firm as the day they left the upholstery shop. In front of those seats, a crack-free dash hangs a digital Racepak gauge pod between controls for a Vintage Air climate system, a Sony Xplod CD player and billet accessory knobs. At the sides of those seats, Standard door panels hang pristine stainless trim and fresh chrome handles behind modern shoulder belts. And beneath those seats, like-new carpet centers a booted shifter between custom kick panels, a billet accelerator pedal and heavy duty floor mats. In front of the driver, a gray Budnik steering wheel spins a half-wrapped rim around a tilting column that's trimmed in billet stalks. And behind the cockpit, a fully restored trunk props an Optima gel cell battery on a fresh, “Camaro” branded mat.

If you're in the market for a fully sorted pavement bruiser that's a blast to show off and even MORE fun to drive, your search is officially over. This professionally restored pro-tourer mixes classic Chevrolet looks with a ton of power and some of the best performance hardware on the planet. Why waste years of your valuable time, and strain your bank account, on a ground-up build when you can walk right in to our showroom, throw down about half the money and experience just how refreshing instant gratification is?
